Alloygator Rim Protectors - Protect Your Alloy Wheels

Alloy rim protectors are better known as Alloygators. They take the form of a flexible band of nylon which is placed around the edge of the alloy wheel rim, they provide a combination of style, visual appeal and protection. This protection includes guarding the wheel surface from the kind of damage caused by going over potholes or hitting kerbs.

The alloy wheel rim guards we provide work with alloy wheels from fifteen to twenty-four inches in diameter. We can supply them in no fewer than fifteen striking and stylish colours, ranging from silver, graphite and matt black all the way to orange and sky blue. If you come and see us, we’ll help you choose by guiding you through a swatch card of colours.

Alloygator wheel rim protectors are made of extremely durable blended nylon composite, which has an impact modifier and UV stabiliser added in order to provide strength and durability in a range of climates.

The Alloygators we stock at Alloy Wheel Repair London are manufactured in the UK and have been developed in tandem with vehicle OEM’s to include 50% more locking teeth, a matt finish, a reduced space between metal clips and improved diamond grips. All of which adds up to a better fit on your vehicle.

If you bring your alloy wheels to us for refurbishment, then we’ll fit the Alloygators free of charge.

Opting for Alloygators

Our team of experts recommend adding Alloygators to any newly refurbished alloys, or even to existing alloys. In both cases they will help to extend the life of the alloys and keep them in the best possible condition.

Adding Alloygators – How it Works

1. The Wheels Come At Alloy Wheel Repair London Workshop

Wheels can be dropped off by customers or we can collect them ourselves. Once they arrive, the tyres will be removed using specialist equipment. Identifying marks are applied, and the tyres safely stored.
We check the alloys for stress fractures, buckles or cracks, and let the customer know if they are beyond repair or not safe to drive on. At this stage we will advise whether any work besides the buckled wheel repair itself needs to be carried out. The next stage is to strip the weights from the wheels and mark them using tyre pressure sensor equipment to guarantee the right replacement.

2. The Alloygators are Fitted

We can fit Alloygators to existing alloys or after the repair or refurbishment process. Once stretched around the rim they protect the edges of the alloys and prolong their lifespan.

3.Tyres are Re-fitted and Balanced

The last thing we do is refit the tyres, before balancing the wheels and, if possible, resetting any tyre pressure system. Following this the wheels are ready to be collected.
Please note that we will not refit illegal tyres.
